The theme for this year’s event was “EEA – Leading into the Future.”
Individuals honored at the banquet this year were Barbara Brown, 40 years; Patty McAlexander, 40 years; Barney Zimmerman, 5 years; Maria Dorrell, one year; Delores Craig, one year; Beverly Green, one year; Claudia Cieslewicz, one year; Shirley Beum, one year and Aletha Jeske, one year.
In addition, the following members were installed as EEA Officers in Austin County for 2023-2024: President Joan Buenger, Vice President Pat Allee, Recording Secretary Judy Schulz, Treasurer Doris Glenewinkel, Corresponding Secretary Gaye Farr, Reporter/Historian Doris Glenewinkel and Parliamentarian Knellen Quinteros.
The 2023-2024 Committee Chairs are Pat Allee County Program Committee; Carolyn Balke and Malinda Schramm -County Fair Committee; Gloria Havemann and Audrau Winkelmann - 4-H Committee; Knellen Quinteros and Doris Glenewinkel - Finance Committee; Barney Zimmerman and Gaye Farr - Cultural Arts Committee; Judy Schulz and Doris Glenewinkel - Community Service Committee; Mary Smentek and Jessie Kokemor – Expansion Committee; and JoAnn Reichle and Danita Schovajsa - Care and Concern Committee.
