The Brazos High School volleyball team has a much different roster than last year with a bunch of key seniors graduating, but head coach Amanda Hatton has kept the ship afloat by guid ing her young talent to a good amount of wins for a record just below .500.
In the span of one week, Brazos was able to take down two fellow area teams in Faith Academy and Rice, winning both matches by scores of three sets to one. The Cougarettes know how to win, it’s just a matter of developing the young personnel so they can be successful in the postseason. The winning culture Brazos has produced has clearly had an effect on this group as it’s rather impressive to be within the .500 mark with a whole new roster. It’s only a matter of time before the black and red make noise again en route to a state tournament.
