COLUMBUS — In anticipation of the 2023 Colorado County Fair, the 2023 Colorado County Fair Queen and her Court were selected on Sept. 7 at the Founders Hall at the Colorado County Fairgrounds in Columbus.
This annual event precedes what is expected to be a large turnout for the upcoming fair with entertainment for every age. Senior Citizen Day is today (Thursday, Sept 14) along with a host of events scheduled for that day.
Then, each day will be filled with fair events including a sanctioned rodeo and sanctioned barbecue cook-off.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday night the music lineup will knock your socks off or your boots. Friday night is Tejano Night.
If it is more noise you want, the tractor pull starts on Saturday at 3 p.m. and don’t forget your ear plugs.
Everyone has their sights set on the parade that kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 16 in historic downtown Columbus starting at 10 a.m.
