LA GRANGE — The second annual Texas Blacksmith Conference and Antique Gas Engine event chugged on despite the rain.
The coal was fired up and the hit and miss popping of antique gas engines filled the air last Friday and Saturday at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center’s Czech Village in La Grange.
Blacksmithing forging demonstrations during the day kept the attendees riveted.
There was no less excitement over all the combustion engines and the eagerness of the owners to talk about them and the on-lookers to soak up the years of knowledge.
There was a steady stream of people coming into the village and displays to please.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the future TCHCC Blacksmith shop construction in the Village.
