First-year Schulenburg head football coach and athletic director Luke Hobbs is already turning things around for the Shorthorns. With a 41-40 win over district opponent Thorndale last Friday, Schulenburg is now 2-3 for the season and 1-0 in district play.
Shorthorns quarterback Aaron Janecek ran for all six of Schulenburg’s touchdowns and Janecek has been a huge bright spot for the team this year. It was only a matter of time before Hobbs’ culture change made an effect and this is a team that finds ways to win. The future looks very promising for Schulenburg football.
