Austin County Sheriff's Office Inves tigators, currently assigned to the Westside Narcotics Task Force conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10 on Sept. 20 which resulted in the arrest of a defendant and the seizure of illegal narcotics.
Juan Orozco, 24, of Houston, was stopped for a traffic violation on Inter state 10 at 716 westbound mile mark- er. During the traffic stop, a search of Orozco’s vehicle resulted in the seizure of 43 grams of pills that tested positive for Fentanyl. Orozco was ultimately arrested for one charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1. Defendant Orozco was transported and booked into the Austin County Jail in Bellville without incident. The investigation is currently ongoing. The Westside Narcotics Task Force is comprised of investigators from the Austin County Sheriff's Office, Bellville PD, Sealy PD, Hempstead PD, Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff's Office, and DEA.
