Like a fresh breeze, Alisha Brummett came to Columbus with her family in tow and her camera at the ready. Brummett sees things a lot of us take for granted. She looks at the here and now because it will be there and gone in a short time. She captures life on the camera as it happens from day to day.
“I try to capture life as it happens from day to day with words and photographs. As humans, our lives are constantly in a state of change,” said Brummett.
Her works are captivating and, at the same time, elusive. What she sees with her camera causes us to pause momentarily and say that this is in front of us every day, yet we don’t see it.
“Capturing life on camera helps me to remember and hold onto each beautiful moment,” Brummett sums up.
