CVFD releases 2022 call report

COLUMBUS – Columbus Volunteer Fire Department (CCVFD) released its 2022 call report. CCVFD’s coverage is from Hatterman Lane, east to I-10, 704-mile marker, south to Altair, and north to Kansteiner Road.

COLUMBUS — Columbus Volunteer Fire Department (CCVFD) released its 2022 call report. CCVFD’s coverage is from Hatterman Lane, east to I-10, 704-mile marker, south to Altair, and north to Kansteiner Road.

Total fire calls are 120, with 11 structure fires, 22 vehicle fires, 71 woodland fires, and 16 other types of fires. Calls included two overpressure/scorch, 40 rescues/ extractions, 47 hazardous con dition calls, 21 service calls, 44 good intentions, 50 false alarms, and six special incidents. The total number of calls was 330.

Call volume increased from 170 calls in 2018 to 330 calls in 2022. There was a 110-call jump from 2021 to 2022.
