Knights compete in Dave Jantzen Cross Country meet

Twenty-six schools ran at the Dave Jantzen XC Invitational held on the Houston Christian Campus, Saturday,

Twenty-six schools ran at the Dave Jantzen XC Invitational held on the Houston Christian Campus, Saturday, Sept. 23.

The course winds around the campus and finishes on the track.

The first race to leave the starting line was the boys varsity with 115 runners.

Sophmore Ethan Stegent has continued to bring his time down each race since Aug, 26 at the Woodlands Christian Meet where he ran an 18:43.

Crossing the finish line in fourth place Stegent ran an impressive 16:48, which is a PR and the school record.

Freshman Johnathan Tarver ran with 53 boys in the junior varsity division. He was in the top five the majority of the race until more than five boys

cut the course jumping ahead of the lead pack causing him to place 15th. In the junior high races, fourth grader Eli Rathbone was in a huge race of 241 runners. He finished 53rd and ran a PR 14:13. Sixth grader Everett Miglicco, was 87th and ran a 15:14.

In the girls division there were 189 runners.

Jaden Bolten was 75th running an 18:21.
