Celeste Carr benefit highlights Chronic Kidney Disease

SEALY - A benefit for Celeste Carr is set for Saturday, Feb. 4, at Creekmores Sports Bar located at 3797 Hwy 36 in Sealy. The proceeds from the benefit will help Carr and her donor with ex penses related to a kidney transplant.

SEALY - A benefit for Celeste Carr is set for Saturday, Feb. 4, at Creekmores Sports Bar located at 3797 Hwy 36 in Sealy. The proceeds from the benefit will help Carr and her donor with ex penses related to a kidney transplant.

Carr is 25 years of age but a young teenager mentally and has a disease called Charge Syndrome. It has left her deaf and blind in one eye. In addition, 19 surgeries in her life have led to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), and she needs a kidney transplant.

Smoking' Red Roosters will cater the meal with brisket, sausage, beans and Wade taters at $15 per plate starting at 1 p.m. Children are welcome. The event will include a bounce house and a duck pond for the kids.

Dj Taurus Downey will provide the music for the day.

"I love animals and I always wanted to be a Vet,” said Carr.
