Wildcats football improved to 5-2 on the season and 1-2 in district with a 35-22 win over Thorndale last Friday.

After losing back-to-back games to Holland and Thrall, Weimar redeemed themselves with a win and a high-scoring effort.

Second year head coach Wade Griffin had success at Giddings when he was there, but he’s completely turned this Weimar program around in the early start to his tenure. This team plays fast, tough, efficient, and Griffin holds his guys accountable with his commanding style of coaching, which obviously has taken place in the locker room as well.

Weimar is on pace to become one of the best teams in the area as long as Griffin is there.
