The La Grange High School football team defeated Smithville High School Oct. 6 by a final score of 36-21. This is the Leopards’ second win of the season and it doesn’t look like it will be their last with the way the offense has been performing.
First-year La Grange head football coach Kyle Cooper statistically had the best offense in the country last year at Ponder High School, so that was certainly going to rub off on the Leopards.
Key players for La Grange are quarterback Clayton Cooper and Le’Kayvion Broussard, but the Leopards have playmakers all across the board.
This team is just getting started and Cooper’s ideas seem to be having a positive effect early.
