WALLIS — The Wallis Knights of Columbus Council 3793 presented its Peace Officer of the Year Award to Austin County Game Warden Michael Novak for his years of service and dedication to the communities of Austin County.
The KCs also recognized the law en forcement of Austin County that placed their lives on the line at times in the dark of night and in the light of day.
The clergy at the supper were given recognition for their spiritual guidance that shows the Way for so many in the Wallis area.
The hall, filled with eager attendees, placed their luck of the draw in a num - ber of games and a gun raffle. The wild game supper topped off an entertaining evening that was par for the course for the 51st Wallis Knights of Columbus which bills itself as the oldest and largest KC-sponsored game supper in the state of Texas.
