BELLVILLE — In an ongoing investigation and grand jury deliberation on Sept. 27, the Austin County Sheriff’s Office Jail Division has been given a no-bill on the death of Inmate Quincy Williams.
Williams died in the jail on March 11, 2023. Texas Rangers fully investigated the death and it was determined there was no foul play or criminal intent. An autopsy was performed out of the Fort Bend Medical Examiner's Office and it was found Williams died of natural causes. Williams had been a trustee at the jail. As trustee, he was able to have his own cell. Video surveillance in the jail showed he passed away while he was sleeping.
