SHAWS BEND — This past weekend, smoke filled the air and dust kicked high in the sky as the 7th Annual Texas Outdoor Writers Fall Stampede began.
Smoke filled the air from the TOWA Wild Game, Barbecue Cookoff, and the Texas Challenge Shooting Matches with shotguns, pistols, and long-range rifles. Plus, archery.
The World Senior Professional Bull Riders (WSPBR) event, held over two days, featured bull riders nationwide. In addition to all this, the Bohemian Classic Rod and Reel Catfish Tournament sunk a lure or two.
The shooting competitions benefited the Columbus FFA, the Colorado County Sheriff's Department and TOWA Scholarships.
