The Schulenburg High School footballl team beat Flatonia High School Oct. 13 in a Fayette County showdown by a final score of 43-28. Shorthorns quarterback Aaron Janecek had a huge night, reaching the end zone a handful of times and leading his team to its fourth win of the season and third win in district.
First-year head coach Luke Hobbs is doing wonders at Schulenburg and this program is just getting started. The current momentum for the black and orange is hard to match, especially when you have athletes and coaches who have bought into the new system taking place.
