Food Handlers Workshop offered

CARMINE - The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Fayette County will offer a Food Handler's workshop, Mon - day, Nov. 6, which will be host - ed by JW's Steakhouse at 122 S. Hauptstrasse St. in Carmine.

CARMINE - The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Fayette County will offer a Food Handler's workshop, Mon - day, Nov. 6, which will be host - ed by JW's Steakhouse at 122 S. Hauptstrasse St. in Carmine.

The state-accredited two- hour course is scheduled for 9 to 11a.m.. at a cost of $20 per per - son.

All participants will receive a Food Handler card, which will be effective for two years, from the Texas A&M AgriLife Food Safe - ty Department.

The Texas Food Establishment Rules were revised and since Aug. 8, 2021, they state "that all food employees shall successfully complete an accredited food handler training course within 30 days of employment."

All participants need to pre-register and pre-pay at least two days in advance. For further information or to register please contact the Fayette County Ex - tension Office at 979-968-5831.
