BELLVILLE — The Annual Austin County Hay Show and Fall Forage program was held Oct. 6 at the American Legion Hall on the Austin County Fairgrounds in Bellville in conjunction with the Austin County Fair.
The event allowed producers and ranchers to put their forage samples to the test for top honors. Attendees had the opportunity to hear a presentation at the Fall Forage Program organized by the Austin County Beef & Forage Committee and the County Extension agent Stacie Villarreal. Presentations included “What Does the Terminology on the Label Mean”, “What Is This and How Do I Get Rid of It, and What to Feed Your Pasture and What Will it Cost”. Presenters included Greg Baker, Dr. Stacy Hines, and Dr. Tony Provin, all with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Our Overall Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Hay Show award recipients each received a belt buckle.

The overall winners and class winners were on display in the Ag-ventures building.
