Bellville Brahmas blasts Wharton in shutout

WHARTON – The Bellville High School football team pounded Wharton High School at Eddie Joseph Memorial Stadium in Wharton in a shutout win Oct. 27 by a final score of 72-0.

WHARTON — The Bellville High School football team pounded Wharton High School at Eddie Joseph Memorial Stadium in Wharton in a shutout win Oct. 27 by a final score of 72-0.

The Brahmas put their dom-inant rushing attack on display yet again as they scored a total of nine touchdowns on the ground. The top performer at running back was Corrian Hood, who tallied a whopping 269 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.

Sam Hranicky also carried the ball eight times for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

Bellville football has stayed hot throughout the entire year and they are blowing teams out at the right time as the playoffs approach.

Bellville has made nice runs at the postseason in recent years, but this team seems hungry to make it even farther to a state championship.
