Six athletes from the tri-county area have earned spots on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Girls Best and Brightest Awards list. These awards are presented to fe-male athletes who are seniors and have at least a 3.5 unweighted or 4.0 weighted grade point average during their junior year and play in at least 50% of the varsity team's matches during the season.
Those who earned recognition from the area are Sage Thomas (Columbus, first team), Phoebe Tucker (La Grange, first team), Jena Jobb (La Grange, first team), Ally Tribe (Columbus, third team), Haylie Cooper (La Grange, third team), and Meredith Magliolo (Schulenburg, first team).
