Schulenburg volleyball picking up where they left off; rolling in playoffs

The Schulenburg High School volleyball team is on a mission to get back to the state tournament and it’s becoming more of a possibility by the week. The Lady Horns have won their last

two playoff matches against Woodsboro and Thorndale High Schools with both matches being sweeps in three sets.

Key performers are Jessalyn Gipson, Landry Zapalac, and Ki - eryn Adams. Gipson tallied 13 kills in both of the events while Zapalac has racked up the assists with 20+ in each game. Adams has also been clutch on the defensive end with tons of digs, which she’s done throughout the entire season. With veteran head coach Donald Zapalac overseeing things, the near future is looking very bright for Schulenburg volleyball.
