Schulenburg football picks up win vs Thrall

The Schulenburg High School football team earned their fifth win of the season Nov. 3 at Shorthorns Field against Thrall High School by a final score of 42-35.

The Schulenburg High School football team earned their fifth win of the season Nov. 3 at Shorthorns Field against Thrall High School by a final score of 42-35.

Schulenburg was able to get the last laugh in an offensive battle by finding a way to ultimate ly outscore their opponent and come out on top.

Shorthorns quarterback Aaron Janecek totaled four touchdowns on the night with two on the ground and two through the air, also adding 193 yards rushing and 131 passing. Another star performer was running back Rodney Walton with 81 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.

First-year head coach Luke Hobbs has changed the entire culture of Schulenburg football and this is just the beginning of something special.
