The Weimar High School football team has completely turned their program around and a lot of the credit should go to second year head coach Wade Griffin.
After a 55-0 bashing of Junction High School in Seguin last Thursday, the Wildcats now have an overall record of 9-2 for the season and are still alive in the playoffs.
This team plays aggressive, defends well, and makes plays on offense. The job Griffin has done in just his second stint at the helm has been nothing but remarkable.
Weimar will face off against La Villa High School this Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the game will be held at Mathis High School. Af- ter only winning five games com bined the two previous seasons, a state championship birth isn’t out of the equation for one of the hottest teams in the area.
