SEALY - A benefit for Ce leste Carr, held on Feb. 4, at Creekmores Sports Bar in Sealy showed that people want to help. With a bounce house and some smoking’ good barbecue, the fundraiser helped Carr with her need for a new kidney.

Carr, 25, is as cute as a button but she is not shy when she meets people. Her personality is infectious and you instantly want to help. She is looking for a new kidney after 19 surgeries left her with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Proceeds shot upwards of $11,640.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a term for decreased kidney function.

In the United States, there is a rising incidence and prevalence of kidney failure, with poor outcomes and high cost.
