Voter Registration certificates to expire

New Voter Registration Cer- tificates will be mailed out to all currently registered voters by Dec. 6.

New Voter Registration Cer- tificates will be mailed out to all currently registered voters by Dec. 6.

These new cards are yellow in color and are effective from Jan. 1, 2024, until Dec. 31, 2025.

Voter registration certificates will renew automatically. They will replace any previous Voter Registration Cards/Certificates. The cards/certificates are printed with a non-forwardable postmark “RETURN SERVICE REQUESTED,” which means that if an individual’s address has changed, the post office cannot forward the certificate.

There are many scenarios that can arise for a voter’s registration certificate/card to be returned by the Post Office to the Colorado County Elections Office (sender).

Also, if you made changes to your voter’s registration within the last few weeks you may get both the previous card and a newly issued replacement.

Contact will be made with those individuals whose cards/ certificates have been returned. If a certificate/card is returned

you will be receiving a letter from the elections office advising what steps to take.

Please remember the elections office is not able to make changes to a voter’s record without written authorization.

If you have not received a new card by the end of December or a letter, please contact the elections office at 979-732-6860 or log on to the Secretary of State website to see if you are a registered voter at votetexas.gov.
