HUTTO — The Columbus High School football team’s season came to an end Nov. 24 at Hutto High School as they were defeated by Lorena High School with a final score of 4221. Columbus had a 14-0 lead after the first quarter, then Lo -
rena scored 21 points each in the second and fourth quarters
to secure the win.
Junior quarterback Adam Schobel wasn’t his normal self and had an off night, fin ishing the game with three completions on 11 attempts for 78 yards to go along with 1 touchdown and two interceptions.
Senior running back Ty’Vone Whitehead grabbed
20 carries for 175 yards and two touchdowns. As this team has state title expectations, they should be right back in the conversation next year with Schobel returning at quarterback and solid players all across the board.
