Visit the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum during the month of December.
SCHULENBURG - As staff members of the Stanzel Museum, we often hear, “You know, I live around here and I have never been to the museum.”
We hear it so often that we’ve decided to issue a challenge to our local friends and family to come on in and visit this treasure trove of local history and source of aviation inspiration.
You will find interactive ex - hibits, a model airplane flight simulator, and a portal that will take you back in time to an 1870s family farmhouse. We have something of interest for all ages. Will you accept the challenge to visit us this month?
If that wasn’t enough, here's an added incentive! When you visit the Stanzel Museum, take advantage of the Chamber of Commerce's “Shop Schulenburg Days” challenge. As chamber members, we'll gladly sign your shopping card with a purchase of $20 or more.
The Stanzel Museum is also a member of the Museums for All and does not charge an admission fee, but a free will donation is appreciated.
As a thank you for accepting the Local’s Challenge, we will enter your name into a raffle for a Stanzel gift basket which includes, The book Defying Gravity: How Victor & Joe Stanzel’s Dream Took Flight, a Stanzel Blueprint T-shirt, and balsa wood airplane kits. The drawing will be held on Saturday, Dec. 30.
We look forward to meeting more of our local neighbors, see you soon!
Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum is located at 311 Baumgarten St in Schulenburg and open 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
