WEIMAR — Kist By Grace, a Christian Praise and Worship band based in Orchard, will be performing an Advent-Christmas Concert Saturday, Dec. 9, beginning at 4 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church at 615 South Eagle in Weimar.
Following the concert, attendees are invited to come to Faith’s Fellowship Hall for refreshments and a celebration of the season. Enjoy the Christmas decorations, great music by the band, and refreshments as we celebrate the Christ of Christmas.
The members of the band have come together to keep God’s music and Word in the public place and produce an experience they hope will appeal to all walks of life. Celebrating Jesus Christ is, and always has been, the greatest celebration ever.
Most of the members of Kist By Grace started their careers on stage in church and moved toward secular genres such as country and rock. They have been on stage for the majority of their lives, entertaining audiences all over the United States and other countries.
The band consists of Debra Gayle originally from Petal, Miss., Kevin “KP” Peikert from Egypt, Texas, Melissa Mund from San Antonio, Jacob Reid from Houston, Bryan Graham from Paris, Texas, Tim Mund from Dallas, Kim Nessler from Needville, and Cory Chenoweth from Rome, N.Y. You'll find Gayle doing vocals/keys, Melissa Mund-vocals/keys, Peikert-vocals/ lead and acoustic guitar/ keys, Graham-lead guitar, Nessler-cello, Reid-bass, and Tim Mund-drums.
Our nation and the world have experienced so many “storms” and challenging struggles. Come and have your spirits lifted and your faith strengthened. Experience the gifts of joy, peace, love and hope at Faith Lutheran Church in Weimar.
On Sunday, Dec. 10, Faith Lutheran will have a communion worship service at 10 a.m. including the Children’s Christmas Program. All are welcome to the Sacrament and no one is ever turned away.
