Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported on the afternoon of Dec. 6 around 1:55 p.m., Drug Interdiction Sgt. Randy Thumann and his Canine partner "KOLT', conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Ford truck pulling a white utility trailer on Interstate- 10 at the 671 mile marker for a traffic violation. Thumann approached the vehicle which was occupied by three individuals.
Upon contact with the driver criminal indicators were observed.
Thumann was given consent to search the truck and trailer. Assisting at the scene was Deputy Herman Olvera.
A search of the trailer resulted in three concealed bundles of cocaine in décor water fountains.
The male subjects identified as Pablo Antonio, 24, Rixco Terrablanco, 37, and the driver, Javier Huapillam-Martinez, 25, all of Florida, were arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center in La Grange and charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.
