SCHULENBURG — The “A Matter of Balance” (AMoB) series; which is being co-partnered by the Schulenburg Public Library, Fayette County Committee on Aging, and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Fayette County, will be conducted starting Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024.
The AMoB is a series of eight two-hour sessions which will be conducted each Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. through Feb. 29, 2024, in the Schulenburg Public Library meeting room, 310 Simpson St.
The AMoB program emphasizes practical strategies to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels.
Participants will learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals to increase activity, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors, and exercise to increase strength and balance.
The classes are limited to the first 12 participants to reg ister and there are no fees associated with the program.
