SEALY - A Union Pacific train went off its tracks Jan. 5 at approximately 7:40 a.m. at the 100 block of South Meyer Street in Sealy.
The Sealy Police Department responded to the derailment and no injuries were reported during this incident.
Other streets that were affected were Front Street at Fourth. The Highway 36 train crossing was also closed for a time.
There are street closures because work on repairing the train derailment area is ongoing. Check the City of Sealy’s Facebook page for further information.
