Faith Academy Knights season at 4-8

The Faith Academy Knights Basketball season has begun and the Knights are sitting at 4-8. The season started with wins over Banff and Round Top-Carmine. The Knights then competed in the Somerville Tournament losing to Somerville, Hempstead White and Somerville JV. Over the Christmas break, the Knights played Aristoi Classical and Burton, losing to both. On Jan. 4, the Knights defeated Still Creek Christian. This past Saturday, Jan. 6, they competed in the Banff Tournament going 1-3. Defeating Banff and losing to Pasadena Faith, Humble Christian and the Connection School.

Scoring averages for the Knights on the season are: sophomore Christian Pillow, 13 ppg, junior Travis Woodley, 8 ppg, sophomore Gabe Mikeska, 7 ppg, junior Everett Yates, 4 ppg, freshman Dylan Olivares, 3 ppg and sophomore Josh Stark, 2 ppg.

The Knights are continuing to get better every game in preparation for their regional tournament in February.

They will head to ILT Windmill Lakes on Friday, Jan. 12, and are set to host their first home game of the year on Friday, Jan. 19 and a JV Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 20.
