COLUMBUS — Get more creative in 2024, a great start would be to attend a program presented by Gerri Hanten, Ph.D., on Thursday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m., at Nesbitt Memorial Library in Columbus.
Dr. Hanten is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject of creativity.
She teaches techniques to increase creativity at Rice University and the University of Houston.
Dr. Hanten’s research shows convincing evidence that everyone has the capacity to think more creatively.
She shared, “Once you understand the basics of creativity and some of the neuroscience behind how it works, you can teach yourself how to reach for it.”
She will also share pointers to improve creative problem solving and help people “think outside the box.”
This free program is sponsored by Friends of Nesbitt Memorial Library and promises to dispel the notion that creativity cannot be taught.
