Pursuit ends in arrest for more than running

FLATONIA – Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported that on Jan. 25, at around 2 p.m., the Fayette County Undercover Narcotics Unit attempted to stop a silver Chrysler 300 in the Flatonia area for a traffic in fraction.

FLATONIA — Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported that on Jan. 25, at around 2 p.m., the Fayette County Undercover Narcotics Unit attempted to stop a silver Chrysler 300 in the Flatonia area for a traffic in fraction.

The vehicle failed to yield from investigators, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. Narcotics were observed being physically thrown out of the window of the vehicle during the pursuit. The vehicle eventually came to a stop.

Alfredo Muniz, 35, of Flatonia, was arrested for felony charges of Tampering with Evidence and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Muniz was additionally charged with Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle. Marijuana and methamphetamine were also located inside of the vehicle.
