WALLIS — Austin County Sheriff’s Lt. Matt Walls was named the Peace
Office of the Year. The Peace Officer of the Year award is given by the Wallis Knights of Columbus, #3793 during its annual wild game supper. This marks its 52nd year of giving the award and holding the annual supper.
Lt. Walls is the head of the West Side Narcotics Task Force and has been active in apprehending wanted criminals engaged in illegal drug activities in Austin County and surrounding counties Just like every year, the wild game supper was spot on.
