EAGLE LAKE — Eagle Lake Noon Lions Club proudly celebrated Lions Jeff Cunkelman and Bob Lapham for becoming certified vision screeners, autho rized by the Department of State Health Services in the State of Texas.

Cunkelman and Lapham will use their training by performing vision screenings in the community using the Lions KidSight Optix Photo technology that screens younger pre-school aged children for Amblyopia (Lazy Eye Syndrome) and the HOTV Eye Chart to screen vision acuity of school-age children. Both screenings give simple “Pass” or “Refer” results that are instantly available and shared with parents and schools. Both are wonderful tools that identify the need for a professional eye exam follow-up. Lions KidSight USA screenings are totally free to schools and parents.
