SCHULENBURG - Haven't had sausage in a while? Well, that’s too long. The wait is over come April 6 when the Ninth Annual Schulenburg Sausagefest cranks out some great sausage and food.
Happening in downtown Schulenburg, its the only festival in Texas with a sausage-making contests.
The sausage-making contest isn’t the only tasty contest happening that day. There is homemade wine, sauerkraut and pickle judging contests. Everyone is hollering for the hogcalling and sausage tossing contest.
Along with all that is dancing in the street with Broken Alibi as the headlining act, Darrel Appelt, the Czechaholics, and Mark Halata and Texavia.
