There have been questions surrounding the results and when the results will be made known to the public. Rebecka Lacourse stated, “I have received several inquiries about how and when Election results will be released forMarch05,2024. EarlyVoting cannot be tabulated until election night at 7 p.m.; the results are not released until the election’s entirety.
The way we release results (after all polling locations are in) is the Secretary of State, County webpage (https://www.co.colorado. tx.us/page/colorado.Elections. The page will open directly to the results just have to scroll down), and then I will email the parties (including the press) who have requested the results by email.As far as time……we cannot predict that, but I can tell you it will not be before 10 p.m. (it all depends on what time the polls make it back to central count).
Another factor that will be a major contributor to what time the results are released is the length of the ballot and the time it will take to do the manual data entry into the state. I know candidates will be on pins and needles as they wait.
The Colorado County Election office does not declare winnersorrunoffs. Thisis a party election, and the party chairs must make those declarations. To declare a winner a candidate must have at least 51% of the total votes."
