Arts for Rural Texas (ARTS) is committed to providing art experiences and art education to the children of rural Texas throughout the year. ARTS’ Summer Camps provide a creative space for young artists to learn and play.
Each camp offers a fun and interactive curriculum where students can learn many different art forms, such as painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, quilting, felting, movie making, performing arts, music and much more.
Summer Camp is held throughout June and July, except for the week of July 4. This year, camps will be held in Fayetteville, La Grange, Schulenburg and Columbus. Camps are offered to children in first through 12th grades, with classes designed for each age group: lower elementary, upper elementary, and high school.
ARTS’ Summer Camp registration opens Friday, March 8.
These weeklong day camps, held Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., are fee based at $100 per camp. Scholarships are available through a simple application process. Visit www.artsforruraltexas. org/summercamps to view the full schedule of classes and enroll to join the fun!
