The Navidad Valley Cattle-Women (NVCW) are seeking applicants for their 2024 Scholarships. $12,000 will be awarded to students graduating from high schools in Fayette, Colorado and Lavaca counties.
Navidad Valley CattleWomen has awarded over $90,000 in scholarships to local high school students since 2005. Applications, which may be downloaded at www.nvcw.org, must be postmarked by Friday, March 8.
Rules and expectations are also available on the website. Applications should be mailed to NVCW scholarship chair, Kay Gibson at 2321 Schulze R., Muldoon, TX 78949. The Navidad Valley CattleWomen, a local chapter of the Texas Cattlewomen, is a non-profit organization that sup ports and promotes the beef industry.
The Navidad Valley local works to support local youth with scholarships and provide quality information on the industry and how to incorporate beef into a healthy diet.
Additionally, they work to support the community with targeted outreach projects that include a beefy twist.
