ALTAIR — Credit for Life Fairs help students learn real-life budgeting and money management skills after graduation.
Banks, non-profits and other or ganizations participate in a oneday event that will help them navigate the financial world and make “purchases” from their imaginary cash and savings.
Seniors apply for a credit card and work up a loan package with banks, purchase cars, budget their salaries to meet monthly bills, invest and balance a checkbook.
Credit for Life is staffed by volunteers and go to area schools.
