Shooting leaves one in stable condition

NEW ULM – According to Col- orado County Chief Deputy Justin Lindemann, deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Jim Bob Lane in New Ulm about an individual being shot on Feb. 28.

NEW ULM — According to Col- orado County Chief Deputy Justin Lindemann, deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Jim Bob Lane in New Ulm about an individual being shot on Feb. 28.

Deputies located the victim, Ste - ven David Brack, and his girlfriend at the intersection of Oil Patch and Weishuhn Road.

It was determined that the victim had been shot twice with a .22 caliber rifle by his father, Bobby Allen Brack, during an argument.

Colorado County EMS arrived at the location, treated the victim, and had him transported by Life Flight to a trauma hospital in Houston.

Deputies went to the location where the shooting occurred and, after investigation, arrested Bobby Brack, 80, for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Bobby Allen Brack was transported to the Colorado County Detention Cen ter and placed in the Jail without incident.

The victim was reported to be in stable condition at the time of the report.

The Texas Department of Public Safety, Colorado County EMS, and the Frelsburg Volunteer Fire Department assisted the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office.
