Fayetteville baseball has been known for being very dominant after reaching the state tournament a bunch of times and even winning it a few years back. The Lions started this season on a good note also with back-to-back wins against Somerville High School in a double header.
This team is led by head coach Clint Jaeger, who just came off a state tournament appearance as an assistant coach for the boy’s basketball team and has won recent state titles in volleyball and baseball.
Fayetteville has athletes that can get the job done and the fascinating thing is they have depth through the roof. Another impressive thing is that they’ve been able to win at a high level with very young rosters in the past. These kids are upperclassmen now, which makes them even more of a bigger threat to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Key players for Fayetteville are Keagan Supak, Chance Konvicka, Jack Schley, and Easton Jaeger, son of Clint Jaeger.
Fayetteville hasn’t slowed down in their winning spree and is expected to make a run at another state title in 2024.
