SEALY KC FISH FRY RETURNS

SEALY — The Sealy Knights of Columbus annual Famous Lenten Fish Fry, will be held Friday, March 29 at the Sealy Columbus Club Hall at 1310 Hwy 90 West in Sealy. Serving drive-thru only, starting at 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., for only $13 a plate. Cash or most major credit cards accepted. Menu will include fried fish, French fries, pinto beans, coleslaw and hush puppies. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Sealy KC Programs.

FCF ACCEPTING SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

The Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) is now accepting applications for its 2024 scholarships, with a deadline of Monday, April 1. All seniors graduating from public, private and home-school within an 80 mile radius of La Grange are encouraged to apply. C.H.A.M.P. FISH FRY PLANNED

SEALY — The Charitable Heroes Achieving Memorable Performances (C.H.A.M.P.) Good Friday Customer Appreciation Fish Fry will be held Friday, March 29 at the Sealy American Legion Hall in Sealy. Meal will be served, drive-thru only at $12 per plate from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

MOULTON TO HOLD EASTER PICNIC

MOULTON - The Moulton Easter Picnic will be held Sunday, March 31 at St. Joseph's Social Center. Mass begins at 10 a.m. and Easter egg hunt will be held after Mass. A fried chicken meal will be served at $14 per plate beginning at 10:30 a.m. for dine inside, drive-thru plates to go and fried chicken to-go will be available. Live auction begins at 1 p.m. Live music by Ken Brothers from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and The Fender Bender Band from 1:30 to 6 p.m. The event will also include a cake walk, plant walk, country store, hamburgers, refreshments and 50/50 and more. COLUMBUS TO HOLD SHRED-IT EVENT

COLUMBUS — Shred-it event is coming to Columbus Wednesday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to noon, courtesy of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Trash-Off Day sponsored by the Columbus Garden Club. Items accepted include hard drives, media, x-rays, medical records, credit cards, paper files and tax returns. No cardboard will be accepted. There will be no set fee but free-will donations will be gladly accepted to offset the cost.

FREE AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASSES

COLUMBUS — The Live Oak Art Center located at 1014 Milam St. in Columbus offers free after school art classes every Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. Register on the website www.liveoakartcenter.org under the classes and events tab. The free classes are offered throughout the whole school year. If registration is full they can always check back each semester.

HARMONIE HALL TO SERVE FRIED CHICKEN

SHELBY — The best fried chieken ever will be served at Harmone Hall at 509 FM 389 West in Shelby Friday, March 29 at 11 a.m. until gone. The meal is $15 per plate which includes four pieces of chicken mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and homemade slaw. Drink is not included. You may dine in or take it to go. SENIORS TOGETHER SOCIAL SCHEDULE

Seniors Together, a place for senior’s, 55 years or older to so- cialize with others is held every first and third Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Lighthouse Fellowship Hall at 201 Veteran’s Dr. in Columbus. and at the Weimar Civic Center in Weimar on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The events includes card games, board games, Bingo with prizs, coffee and tea, movies, lunch provided, educational speakers, field trips including trips to casinos and so cial gathering.

SCHULENBURG PLANS SAUSAGEFEST

SCHULENBURG - The Ninth Annual Schulenburg Sausage fest will be held Saturday, April 6 in downtown Schulenburg. The all day event will be filled with fun, music and sausage. Events include arts & crafts, children’s activities, grand march, fun run, American Legion Black Bean Motorcycle Ride, hog-calling contest and sausage-toss contest. Music will be provided by The Czechaholics, Mark Halata & Texavia, Darrel Appelt and Broken Alibi. Free admission.
