SCHULENBURG – The Stanzel Family Foundation announced its recent grant allocations to two impactful organizations, the Turtle Wing Foundation and And Then a New Day (And Then).
These grants exemplify the foundation's ongoing commitment to fostering community well-being and supporting organizations that address critical needs.
The Turtle Wing Foundation, an advocate for children and individuals with disabilities and their families in the Schulenburg and Weimar areas, will receive funding to enhance its services. The grant will specifically assist in implementing community education and advocacy, early intervention, and supplemental programming. Turtle Wing Foundation serves as a vital resource hub, connecting families with essential services and support necessary for success. The organization's efforts extend beyond mere connectivity, actively working to attract new providers to rural areas and aiding families in affording crucial services.

The mission of And Then A New Day is to provide meaningful work, social, and life opportunities for young adults on the autism spectrum and those with learning challenges. And Then has successfully supported young adults with learning challenges by offering them real-life experience in the workplace at places like Jack & Mary’s and through its many other initiatives.
The synergy between Turtle Wing Foundation and And Then is evident. Both organizations originat from a shared recognition of the lack of services for their respective populations.
