LA GRANGE – The Bluebonnet Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn educational program is a series of nine meetings designed to provide gardening or general landscaping information for homeowners. Fayette County Master Gardeners plan and present a variety of programs from experts in the area and across the state. This series is designed with the homeowner in mind; bring your lunch and learn about a variety of topics that help you have a more pro- ductive garden, prettier flower beds, or how to better understand your landscape ecosystems.

The topic this month, “Pollinator Gardens,” is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9 and the guest speaker is Sheri Wilcox – Texas Master Naturalist. Careful planning is essential to creating a successful pollinator garden. There are easy steps to ensure you have everything covered before investing, including choosing your location and identifying soil type and sunlight. Proper plant selection can provide blooms, habitat, and food sources needed to attract pollinators to your garden and add color and life all year long.

Registration begins at 11:50 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. and the program lasts until 12:50 p.m. The Lunch-N-Learn Series is held at the Fayette County Agricultural Building at 255 Svoboda Ln. in La Grange. All Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn programs are free to the public and you are encouraged to bring your own lunch and drink. Light refreshments are available by Master Gardener hospitality hosts.
