The Columbus Junior High Symphonic Band recently performed its UIL Concert and Sight Reading and earned itself the Sweepstakes award. The band took straight Ones on stage and sight reading with six judges making its decisions.
It has been years since a CJHS band has earned straight Ones at UIL and this band is made up of sixth grade beginners just last year. Band Director Alexander Busby is excited to see what will be a bright future for his band students.
