BELLVILLE - Wilfred W. Krause recently vacated the Austin County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2 position during a regular commissioner's court meeting on March 25, where Judge Tim Lapham read his resignation letter. Krause's resignation goes into effect April 2.
Krause held this position since 2009 when he was appointed by the Austin County Commissioner's Court to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Judge Thomas Richter. No public reason was given by Krause as to his decision to resign other than he enjoyed serving the community and he knew this is what needed to be done.
