LA GRANGE — The City of La Grange has designated Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19 as Spring Cleanup Week.
The city will pick up one free load of brush during this week.
One load of brush is defined as not more than one pickup truck load. If you have logs, separate them from the branches. Also, make sure there is no trash mixed in with the brush.
The following schedule will be observed: April 15-16, south side of the city (Travis Street - High- way 71 Business); April 17-18, north side of the city.
The city will also have roll off containers available to residential utility customers for hard to dispose of items. These containers will be located at the City Service Center inside the yard and customers will have to show their utility bill receipt to be able to discard their items.
These containers will be available Monday through Thursday, April 22-25, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m and on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to noon.
No tires, batteries, construction debris, paint or chemicals will be accepted. Only one set of mattresses per utility bill will be accepted. Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioning units must be tagged certifying that the refrigerant has been removed by a certified technician.
