EAGLE LAKE — During the April 4 meeting of the Eagle Lake Noon Lions Club, President Pat Pavlu welcomed guest speaker Jerry Sims, General Manager of the Eagle Lake Rod and Gun Club.
Sims has lived the Rod and Gun Club’s history and guided in and around the Eagle Lake hunting area for over 70 years. During that time, he has become a master in fishing, duck hunting, retriever training and carving waterfowl decoys.
In 2020, the Rod and Gun Club celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Sims related the fascinating history of the club throughout the past century.
